The "Two-Sided" Secret to a Seamless Ordering Process
When we talk about ePro, we usually focus on the results: fewer mistakes, faster ordering, and less time spent chasing spreadsheets. But every now and then, I think it’s worth lifting the hood just a little bit to show you how the engine actually works.
Don't worry, I'm not going to bore you with lines of code.
At its heart, ePro is built on a "two-sided" philosophy. We realized early on that a B2B platform has to serve two very different groups of people. If you try to make one interface fit both, it usually ends up working for neither.
Side 1: The Admin side (For your Service Team)
This is the "brain" of the operation. It’s where your customer service team can manage the complex stuff without the technical headache.
One of the biggest time-wasters we’ve killed off is manual price updating. Instead of your team sitting there typing in new costs line-by-line, ePro allows prices to be pushed up directly from your internal ERP system. It’s automatic, it’s accurate, and it saves hours of boring admin.
From this side, your team also handles the "bespoke" nature of workwear managing specific products, setting up logo positions for branding, or configuring product groups for specific departments. It gives you total control to make the platform fit the customer, not the other way around.
Side 2: The Order Side (For your Customers)
On the other side of the fence is what the end-user sees. While the admin side is powerful and feature-rich, the ordering side is intentionally stripped back and simple.
When a customer logs in, they don’t see every product you sell; they see their products. Everything they need, their agreed pricing, their specific kits, and their order history, is right there. They can place orders within the limits you’ve assigned, track their delivery, and get back to their actual job.
It feels more like a modern retail experience than a clunky B2B portal.
Why it matters
By splitting the platform this way, we’ve managed to solve the biggest problem in B2B tech: flexibility vs. simplicity.
The admin side gives you a massive suite of features to manage accounts exactly how you want, while the ordering side stays so simple that your customers will actually want to use it.
In the end, our goal is to make the tech invisible. If your team feels in control and your customers find ordering easy, then we’ve done our job.
